Traditional Woodworking
Working wood remains endemic to the history of homesteading. Further, working
wood can be a cathartic endeavor - going beyond mere practical application.
Much of what we use at Maple Hill Farm - Shaker-inspired furniture, chicken
tractors and coops, even the selfbows we use to hunt whitetail deer - all originate in our
well-apponted workshop. As we do not shy from power tools when appropriate,
the majority of our work involves hand tools.
